Patients in the hospitals should not just lie in their bed and do nothing they should walk! Why? because complications is far worse than the presenting illness if they will not walk. But its a hazard to the patient to walk in the hospital because the floor is slippery and sometimes its filled with fluid from blood or any body fluid thatsspilled on the floor or maybe just water.

And most of these patients should walk around the hall especially those who are status post heart transplant, lung transplant, heart surgeries, Lung surgeries, or any other surgery they need to walk to prvent them from getting complications like DVT’s, Deeep Vein thrombosis, Myocardial Infarction, Stroke, Heart Attack, Thrombosis, PE, pulmonary Embolism, etc.

Anyway these patient needs some aid so that they will not fall on the floor while ambulating, especially if they have lots of medical gadgets attached to them.

This aid that I’m talking about is the Terry Slipper Socks. this can prevent them from falling bacause it has rubber padding at the bottom of these socks. And its double purpose because it keeps their foot warm too. I endorse this product very much primarily for the purpose of patient safety which is the national goal of JCAHO.
